You have a piece nobody makes: cases for a museum gallery, a working replica, a set with a filming date, a sculpture for a public square. It has to look right from every side, stand up to visitors and handling, and be there on the day it is needed.

That is the work we are built for. Our founder has spent thirty years making pieces for museums, retail display and film, and every commission here is drawn, made in our workshop and installed by the same team.

Museums, old and new

A Victorian natural history hall and a white contemporary gallery need different things. We make showcases and plinths to match a museum's original cases or to a new exhibition design, and mounts and stands for single objects, from a globe to a ship model.

Working replicas of historic objects, built the way the original was built: pegged oak frames, turned screws and hand-cut joints, strong enough to be demonstrated to visitors every day.

Churches, historic houses and restoration

New work that has to sit beside old work: communion rails, screens, balustrades and missing turned parts, copied from a surviving original or a measured drawing, in the same timber and finish.

Installations and public art

Large pieces made from many turned parts, and sculpture for gardens, squares and atriums. Designed with the architect or artist, engineered for hanging, fixing and weather, and installed on site.

Film, theatre and display
